What is it?

It’s about providing opportunity for others and using what we have to make life better for them.

United Way Day of Caring is Jackson County’s largest single day volunteer effort!  Now in its 13th year, this year’s Day of Caring will again be in September. Last year, more than 500 volunteers worked at 14 different locations doing physical labor projects for nonprofit agencies.

 

 What do we do?

 

2008 Project Proposal Form

2007 projects included:
Arc of Jackson County - refinishing the deck and  landscaping
Asante Child Development Services - playground enhancement
CASA of Jackson County - installing cabinets for storage
Community Health Center - landscaping project
Community Health Center – painting and landscaping
Family Nurturing Center – building a play area for toddlers
Living Opportunities – creating a meditation garden and assembling a gazebo
Medford YMCA – remodeling Child Watch room and painting
OnTrack – regravel parking lot, landscaping
Phoenix Counseling Center – deck finishing, interior painting, building a garden
Roots and Wings Child Development – building a playground

Who can do it?

 

You can sign up with your business or organization, faith community, or just a group of friends.
